Sooo I'm DNFing... haven't felt the urge to pick this back up since I put it down. This supposed "romance" is basically nonexistent and the whole journey is just them saying they've traveled and then they tell stories. I feel like nothing has happened (and maybe it will now but I just don't care anymore) and now we're back where I thought we would've gone so 200 pages for nothing.

he's alive!!!! but far in the future where the Lake of Souls is. Evanna got him out from there and the "present" time is about 2 yeaears after he died. Evanna made a deal with Mr. Tiny to get Darren back. She promised to get pregnant to begin the new and more powerful version of vampires/vampeneeze. What Mr. Tiny doesn't know is that she's pregnant with twins. One a vampire and the other a vampaneeze.

Sending his sister off into hiding bc the baby daddy is his bestfriend whos evil and which theyll now face off in a death match where the victor will become the Lord of Shadows and end the world. like WHAT?

umm how are we going from like 4 deaths in the last book (right at the end) to then just going straight to Annie's house to tell her that her son is now a vampaneze and will eventually kill every person he feeds upon because his blood thirst will compel him to do so but also like "hey, I'm alive actually and have been living as a vampire and your son is doomed." to be continued...

Omggg Aaron's mom!!!! Omgg Juliette and Aaron aaahhh!! FINALLY! Omggg Adam...eww! Why would he do all that?? Off to war i guess

Anywaysssss, now both Adam and Warner are under the same roof so we'll probably be seeing some confrontation now...

I just wanna make note that this talk about Juliette being in charge and Castle asking her what "after" is gonna look like is reminding me A LOT of GoT when Dany is talking to Snow about how they'll know what's good because they are good. I love this series so much so far but it's not lost on me that the world building hasn't zoomed out yet. Like we still don't really know what's going on outside of sector 45.
