I’m seeing the author speak about book 2 this next week. Should probably read book 1 first lol

This book is so long and all I’ve done so far is read the equivalent of the text version of a video game tutorial. The exposition is done all through dialogue, making it extremely awkwardly written.
DNFing.

I said this before but hopefully my actual last ARC for awhile lol

Matt Dinniman is a fan of this series so I thought I’d give it a try, but it’s super long and starting off soooo slow so we’ll see.

This book is a slog but I can’t DNF another ARC 🫠

This book is third person omniscient, which would be ok if it didn’t switch povs mid-paragraph half the time. 😐 It would, however, make a great miniseries.

Next ARC (and maybe the last for a bit—“I’m tired of this, grandpa!”) and this seems to have really mixed reviews so we’ll see how this goes

The ending of this one was rather anticlimactic given all the build-up and tension we got.
