Are you kidding me with this BS?!? Why is this heroine so dumb? He told her wear an evening gown. One hour till the event she has no idea what to wear and is mad bc he didn’t give her more info? Huh? What more you want?

Am I the only that likes to clean her reading palate with historicals? 🤨

Re-read

You know what I really hate? When I am reading an internal monologue and each character sounds the SAME! Male, female, young, old. Authors— please pay attention to this. It really ruins a perfectly good book. Inner monologue should distinguish characters from one another. Everyone in the book shouldn’t be saying “oh my gosh” to themselves?

Lots of angst (I want you but can’t have you ). I’m not into teacher/student trope but the characters weren’t that far apart in age and it was college years and he isn’t a teacher he is a coach...so i guess it’s ok. The plot was kind of stretched out and I wish the heroine’s characterization was more developed and consistent, but still a cool read.
