Apparently if you sign in to Goodreads with Amazon, any book you download becomes a book that you are "currently reading", even if you haven't opened it yet! Beyond annoyed to see this, again, at the top of my daily updates from friends email (which only shows certain friends and certain activities anyway and is usually ignored as a result).

OMG Goodreads! If I get an ebook, that doesn't mean I'm "currently reading" it and you should take it upon yourself to shelve it so! Let ME decide what I'm actually reading at the moment. This is why I don't bother shelving current reads; Goodreads will just rearrange things itself!

Goodreads, I am not currently reading this book. I simply downloaded it to my Kindle, as a freebie, from Amazon. I did so WITHOUT using the GR app nor my Kindle to even add it to Goodreads in any way, shape, or form. WHY do I find it even listed on any of my shelves, number one, and as "currently reading", when I have yet to open it?

I'm on page 140/178 (probably my slowest ever Demonica read)and the couple is having their first sex scene. In a PNR book. They should be on their now-standard 2 sex scenes per book, but as a novella I guess it's different. Noticing a switch to a more UF sort of feel, several characters' POVs, lots of names mentioned. Sadly, gonna be a 3-star review for the Demonica series when they're typically 4-stars +. Heroine is

Trying again to clear up Goodreads. Just finished chapter 7. Apparently mine is an ARC copy, and maybe that's why I can't do progress notes like I had with other ebooks? Can't figure out reading ebooks let alone managing Goodreads, lol. Anyway, a scene bugged me where the heroine (a weak punchingbag who puts up with abuse from the guy she lives with, who ISN'T her babydaddy, nor her husband, nor the love of her life, and the guy broke her kid's arm).

Why isn't this working with Goodreads?

Interrupted by Braticus, again. Tough to find coherent time to read lately!

% not registering on Goodreads properly. What else is new? The editor in me is catching lots of things this author's editor should have, but I'm learning some interesting British terminology!

First his riding boots evoke fear and bad memories. Now they are sexy? Hmmm...

My son is CONSTANTLY interrupting my reading. Should know better than to try while he's awake. Have to set this aside for now.

6/28/2015 on page 197. Have to delete previous text that appears in this box every time I want to update. Why? Loving the mysterious Thanatos, can't wait to learn of his ruling over and creating the day walking vamps!

Have to set aside temporarily. I'm reading too many series right now, have to finish at least one to better focus. Now I know where my son gets his ADD from! ;)

6/21/2015 trying to figure out way to properly update progress without this appearing in the review box. Surely others also read paperback editions and successfully accomplish this task. Awaiting reply to a few emails for belp from GR. I don't use the app, I prefer desktop version.

Page 345 "here" should be "her". Tsk, tsk. I won't nit-pick any more, but recommend new editor for sure. No offense intended.

"hug" should be "shrug". This is only one reason I shoild be at least a proofreader. "homely" instead of "homey". These should've been fixed by editor. Just sayin'...

Note to self, I want to be Aaron's editor. Lots of little errors that should have been caught. I was an English major after all...

Ok. Page 287, they went up to open-air parking lot. On the roof. Got it now. Getting senile I think...plus, read that yesterday, clearly forgot that detail.

Page 294. Searchlights find them, but they never left the ground...

Wait a minute...on a roof? How? When? They were in the alley...gotta go back, see if I missed the 3 of them going up to a rooftop from the alley...

"bonnet" = hood of car. Interesting Aussie-ism.
