Got this one for free from Kindle. It's pretty good if you enjoy chick lit. This genre just isn't typically what I go for. However, that won't stop me from finishing it. I'm making the conscious effort to read as wide a variety of novels I can while I have the chance.

Ok, this one is really cute. I'd usually write off a series with a goofy title like this (there's so many of them now!), but I'm glad I took a chance at this.

The anime adaptation is currently streaming on crunchyroll, and that's how I first heard about it. Only 3 episodes in, and I just knew I had to read the novels it was based on!

Really cute and surprisingly kind of spicy. Love it so far.

This is just another one of those books that had been on my bookshelf since I was a kid, and so I figured, "Why not?"

I am pretty sure I started and abandoned it more than a few times. There's jyst not much in it that appeals to children. The main character is a Mom who is also a Widow, you've got a terminally ill child, threats of death literally outside threats door everyday - it is just so bleak.

Ok, I'm completely out of my depth on this one.

It would seem that one must posess a good deal of knowledge about Chinese mythology/religion coming into this? I mean, damn, I'm so clueless I don't even know if the characters are based on real people or folk heroes.

Yikes. That's a bad sign.

I've always struggled with Chinese names and nouns, too. My dyslexic brain can't handle all those X's and Z's.
