I’m enjoying this book. Great story any baby boomer can relate to. O’Connell has a knack for capturing the vernacular of the time while adding a few quips that have you laughing. I’m a mystery addict and pride myself on figuring out “the bad guy” by Chapter 2. This one has me guessing. Highly recommended!

Bernie is the major character while Leaphorn is in a coma and Chee has become a PC spouse. Never an edgy series but so far a different feel for the yarn.

Great book again! This is a women’s perspective but her insights into the people are poignant & offer learnings. It’s taught me to see myself & the consequences of my focus through middle age. This is great literature & still exciting to read. Can’t put it down! Who would have “thunk it”?

Interesting characters that one feels compelled to not only learn more about but to actually live among them. That is, to do more than read about them,to actually sense their surroundings, Feel their enclosures and to face the anxiety of not believing escape is truly possible. The writing is masterful

Dragging a bit. Lots of details but plot is about stretched. Hoping it gets better

Tough sledding. Interesting but archaic writing style. Just finished the Marshall story

This my home town. I'm fascinated by the history and the names of streets that were actually once real Easties.
