Half way through, feeling the need to put the book down. Not because it isn't good. Terrible things are pushing me away.

Balance of good and evil written with a lurid and violent voice.

This book has been lingering. Perhaps summer threw off my yearly progress but it could be this book. Bleak crass malignant characters. Still I feel the need to finish it.

Spotty at times but enjoyable. I lived on this street at sometime in the 90's!

Who knew so much could be known about mountain men roaming the wild west. Largely enjoyable if only for its vivid anecdotes and timely vernacular. Reading this brought to light a worrying inability to retain what is read as of late.
