Maybe I'm paranoid, but Goodreads killing off their API makes me think it's on the way out.

I'm not saying "move to storygraph ASAP" but maybe consider what you want to do and who you want to keep in touch with.

I dropped a book I was in reading in Spanish (a translation from French) because it's written in Spain Spanish, and spoiler: I did not study that. At first I thought it would just be different words, but there are all sorts of grammars (and I am not talking about vosotros) that just made it too much. I'll read something in a Spanish I'm more comfortable with.

I'll write more about it later, but to be clear, at least in English: the first half the book is for fans of Elena Ferrante pre-Neapolitan-Novels. Around 50% it mentions this is an updated version with letters and interviews about those.

I am not one of those fans so the first half was a real slog and a lot of "who is this" but I really like the Neapolitan Novels so I did it for those.

There's something about this I already love.
