I started reading this series with book 3, and I really enjoyed it. I then started this book, book 1, and I'm struggling to stay interested. It's about a female K9 officer who is now protecting an ex-military man and his baby boy. Really? An ex-military guy needs a female cop to protect him? A senior, high level cop is going to tell his officers to go hunt for clues? No! You gather evidence. Oi! I'm struggling here.

Love Roarke's storyline in this book. Heart-wrenching!

Omgosh. I hope this picks up soon. I always finish what I start, but the desire to not finish this book is strong!

Finding this book vaguely annoying. The main characters are a horny single mom, and a verbally abusive jerk. The story is also too close to another book by this author. The jury is still out!

If you haven't read this book, then you are truly missing out. Reality that reads like fiction, it ticks all of the boxes!
