this is unnecessarily violent for me AND the twist which I know is coming is taking too long for me

The tonal shifts between torture and hardcore sex scenes are - tough to navigate

The constant “I hoped he had changed his mind” or “I hope things changed” is annoying after a year+ of separation

Women, I beg of you - DO NOT PUT MEN’S NAMES ON TITLES AND DEEDS THEY DIDN’T FINANCIALLY CONTRIBUTE TO

I am screeeaaammming about some of the financial stupidity here. Fool me once and all that. For a woman from wealth, too!!!

“The war machine, fueled by the defense industry’s thirst for hyperprofits, wins even when it loses.”

Pretty much nobody looks good in this book, UK police and The City of London especially

I am internally screaming at a wide variety of adults in this book. Starting with this kid’s parents.

I find January deeply melodramatic for the amount of power she has been shown in this book.
