Wow. On every possible level... the imagery, the character arcs (triumphant and tragic both), the rhythm and word choices... and then the ending... back to poor Ginger, the workhorse drowned by the dock before they ever left Scotland... Everything circling back around... Wow.

Being angry takes a lot of energy. Forgiving people is hard on the ego... but once you can get past that part, it's a much less effortful lifestyle than judgement and anger is. Forgiveness is freedom.

Having your face burned off is too good for some people. Just saying. I'm glad he didn't die instantly...but I'd have been ok if he'd suffered more...

Mary Poppins went to the zoon once, for her birthday. This trip was like that, but WAY cooler. (Kira is way cooler than Mary Poppins). But then things escalated kinda quickly - Yikes!

Been counting the days till this book came out - so excited by the premise, particularly because growing up, I had a blacksmith for a next door neighbor. Chapter 2 absolutely transported me back to childhood, and the particular way the dirt is on a blacksmith's floor... amazing!!

Quality writing. Correct grammer. Intelligent characters. The wholesomness of Farmer Boy is helping to clense my mind of the previous - thing - I tried to listen to in my car. Thanks, Mrs. AJ Wilder, for writing this story.

I checked this out from the library on a whim. It was so not worth the money! 6% is approximately 1 disc out of 16. But I had to skim forward often to even make it that far. To say this is horrible is an insult to all of the horrible books in the world. So Finished.

I guess I'm just like Joe. I want both - the land and Anna. Nice he's willing to give everything up for her health, but seriously, if that's it, I'll be pissed off.

I hate the black moment. It's so... so... dark. Pardon me while I go cry a bit. (but seriously, Joe - You didn't see that coming?)

So impressed with the way the initial meeting between Joe and Anna was built up. I knew and liked Both of these people, yet I could see them careening towards a big fight when they first meet. Joe Denton is a sweet guy, quite a catch for anyone. Really enjoying myself with this one.

The story has turned out tobe a nice blend of fantasy, romance, fairy tale, and just plain Story. mostly really enjoying it. The McGuffin was indeed, Just a McGuffin. Didn't even get to see inside the ice castle...

Ok, so, like everyone on the ship, I'd rather she got to sail just once withone a major turd on board. I like Shamal less every time I see her. :(

I'm guessing 50% completion because the heart of light (McGuffin) and the spell on ominick feel pretty mid-point ish to me. Seem pretty meh to me, also, as a new plot direction, but whatever. Clean writing, I do adore Clarence Swan. Tally ho and yo ho ho I suppose.

I much prefer the ship under her new captain. As for Rev. Dobbs - certain example of why twistyminded baddies should not be given any special treatment b/c of a club they are in. I don't care if it's the old church the new church or a biker gang. e should have been put overboard ith the rest!

Thank God for Mutiny. That couldn't have come soon enough for my tastes. Captain Spooge of the Butt-cino needed to get his. I'm feeling a little better now. I might change my mental name for the Assicino now that Spooge (sprunt) is dead.

Just getting started with this one. Odd for a Lackey protagonist to be from the wealthy and loving/supportive family. If I could be ANY princess, I think I'd want to be one of the Dozen Daughters. Seriously. :)

Yay! Reading Pure Sacrifice two nights ago has Cured my book hangover from For Whom the Bell Tolls. I feel like I can once again flit through fictional worlds with abandon. :)

Didn't have the awesomeness I remember from being a kid, but it passed the evening just Fine. :)

Picked up a childhood favorite, started reading it again. the first chapter makes me feel like I'm reading about Dick and Jane instead of Paul and Maureen... :-/

The last quarter of the story fufilled every promise made in the first quarter of the story. Beautifully. Perfectly. Flawlessly.

And now I'm just broken

Almost done. The only wqay out is through... :-/

I didn't listen on the way to work today... It's like not knowing is killing me, but when I keep going, I'll find out, and it's going to kill some of them. maybe all of them. Oh, God - the tragedy of it. Words fail me.

I think I need therapy to deal with the FEELINGS... or maybe I need a book club? something.

I feel like I need therapy to recover from (survive?) For Whom the Bell Tolls. too. much. feelings.

I feel like Robert Jordan is going to die. Just crushed by the impossibility of blowing the bridge at dawn and then surviving until the next night. Can a man live a full life in 70 hours??
