The last quarter of the story fufilled every promise made in the first quarter of the story. Beautifully. Perfectly. Flawlessly.

And now I'm just broken

Almost done. The only wqay out is through... :-/

I didn't listen on the way to work today... It's like not knowing is killing me, but when I keep going, I'll find out, and it's going to kill some of them. maybe all of them. Oh, God - the tragedy of it. Words fail me.

I feel like Robert Jordan is going to die. Just crushed by the impossibility of blowing the bridge at dawn and then surviving until the next night. Can a man live a full life in 70 hours??

Chapter 11 - So now I've seen the first day of the Revolution in a small town. "what we did to them..."

Chapter 9 - never thought about the sound of airplanes flying over like that before. I almost hesitate to jump back into the book, I'm not sure I'm ready to blow up a bridge. But the bridge is nothing. I understand that.

somewhere in Chapter 5: Well, THAT escalated quickly. And now the Woman of Pablo is in command here, I understand. I understand that quite clearly.

I was intimidated to start this story, because, hey, it's Hemingway... right? So I kind of figured the story would be smart and difficult and distant... But instead it's held my attention from the first few sentences, the audiobook narrator is good. I'm somewhere in Chapter 2
