Donna Farley is starting The Shield of Three Lions (Alix of Wanthwaite, #1)
quit partway through. Well written, just got tired of the episodic medieval sex education.

Donna Farley is finished with Desert Queen: The Extraordinary Life of Gertrude Bell: Adventurer, Adviser to Kings, Ally of Lawrence of Arabia
Fascinating book but never got round to reading the final chapter as I didn't want to take it home from the friend's house I was visiting pre-pandemic, and haven't been to the local library since before then either. Oh Well-- one day we will visit again!

Donna Farley is starting All Things Bright and Beautiful (All Creatures Great and Small, #3-4)
a re-read.... pleasant short chapters, almost self-contained stories. Herriot is a generous, self-effacing narrator, happy to make himself the butt of the joke and show even the cantankerous characters in a better light than at first impression. And the animals... it's all about the animals

A re-read, after seeing the movie Tolkien. For the enjoyment.

Donna Farley is finished with The Wells Bequest (The Grimm Legacy, #2)
had to quit, library books were due and I have too many other things to read right now. Guess it didn't hold me enough that I wanted to renew it. But I liked the first book, and am still interested in future books from this author.
