I only got into a couple chapters of this one and stopped reading due to a move to BC. I will eventually pick it up again.

This book is so good, yet so sad at the same time. Before long, I'll be nearing the next generation of Kunte Kinte's family, the great grandchildren. I am at the point where "Chicken" George is considering Ophelia over Beulah and the "two timing" Charity. So many memories enter my mind of the televised mini series forty-one years ago I was six years old and remember so much of it.

This book, the second time around, is painting quite the visual of the thousands who were beheaded in the late 1700's of Paris, France. Not only that, but the brutality of women, children and priests being drowned by the hundreds was similar to the witch trials of Salem, Massachusetts. I am enjoying this one more than I had previously. Very chaotic history it was.

My opinion still stands with this book being the best out there on Jim and The Doors!

Enjoying this book once more for the second time, that I had to watch the movie today after work! Apparently Ken Kesey wrote this from midnight to dawn!!!! I want that as a super power!

About ready to jump into Chapter Eight at my next pick up later on today. It's great to be reading this so much quicker than the last time I had read it.

Once again this book has baited and hooked me; pun intended. I cannot help but see the characters from the movie as I read the words and dialogue in its pages. That's the beauty of books: movies play in your minds eye as you read. I should be through this one in a day or so.

At one time, I classified this as a favorite read. With my current re-reading of all books in my shelves (in my possession), it will then be decided if it is a keeper or not. It has a sentimental value of sorts, as it was one of the first books that had turned me on to reading more and stepping away from the TV set and movies.

Reading this almost thirty years from the first time I had read it and I am getting more out of it this time around. This is so, as I read a couple of books a week and have for a couple years now.

I've been downsizing my book collection the past week by re-reading all titles from my bookshelves here at goodreads. Some are staying with me and others need to leave my life. Though I haven't indulged into it today, I will before bed tonight. It has always been a favorite book of mine; which I keep in my bedroom bookshelf along with my other "prized" and favorite books.

I am having a hard time getting through this book. The first two stories kept my interest, but this third one of four is not doing much to keep me involved. Should have it finished soon. Then onto the fourth, "The Running Man".

So far, I am about a third of the way into the second short story, "The Long Walk" and it really shows Stephen King's writing style to that of today. It isn't a page-turner, though I am intrigued by the story.

Soon ready to start Chapter Five and the story is just beginning to take off on a runaway roller-coaster ride of terror, I can feel it! The character development has been established and now the fun truly begins.

I am not enjoying this book of poetry at all. It has me wonder if I am reading the same book as the people who have given it a four or five star rating. I would give it a one star! It isn't taking me on that ride which a good book is supposed to do. I look forward to finishing it so I can begin a true page-turner. I guess I am cut from a different slab of marble than the masses who love this book.

I was an original Crüe-head in the early '80's and a hobbyist photographer. So far, this book has not been disappointing and I only expect it to get better.

There are some interesting ideas in this book. With the cleaning, it is an old standard learned from my Grandmother, with items such as vinegar, lemon, ammonia and others of the like.

Was interesting to begin with. I hope the story improves and gets back on track with his missing daughter's whereabouts or what had happened to her.

So far this book is awesome! There are so many funny replies of advice for the letter writers with problems. I will finish this one soon!
