how I missed kaladin's dramatics and his unbreakable plot armour. no one has ever main chraractered like this guy (this is both affectionately and derogatorily).

feeling dumb as fuck after realising why is it called the return of the king only when aragorn arrives at gondor 😭 lmao. also one of my huge issues with this trilogy it's how important things happen offscreen and we're told about it after (like aragorn and the army of the dead) while we spend ages in other useless shit. sure let's hear another song instead of seeing this important plot point.

unfortunately I think I already solved it. I hope I'm wrong but I read too many thrillers to not know the formula :')

this one is so boring oh my god

all of simone st. james's books have a hint of melancholy in the plot but I think this one is the saddest I've read. it gives haunting of the hill house (the TV show version) vibes. the scary factor isn't that big until now but reading about the ghost of a little boy playing hide and seek is a bit creepy.

doing this one on audio for a change and I did not expect andy serkins to start full on singing. like I said many times, LOTR had peter jackson when it actually needed tom hooper.

was buddy reading this with Laís but I reached 15% and by this point if these men shot and killed each other I would legitimately be happier than with any yaoi so I guess it's a dnf.
