Actual plot is decent. While they’re all sad and not trying to bang the whole time, it’s pretty good. But the main girl seems too powerful… like “oh my I’m a human, I’m weak… now I’m this all powerful being that can do things that my ultra powerful bf that’s centuries older than me can’t”.

I really don’t know how I feel about this book. The actual plot is kind of interesting but my goodness these main characters are so annoying to me

I can’t tell if I like Fischer or not. He seems like a dick. But I do like that he’s protective of her.

Someone told me that this book was turned into a movie (they thought it was kind of a cash grab) but now I am intrigued. I want to finish this book so I can read a more entertaining book haha

I think it is interesting that there is this subculture that people in the long haul industry are experiencing but it is super frightening to realize that this subculture is allowing them the time and space to become serial killers. In one example a driver built a literal torture chamber in his semi. I think that there should be more regulation on semi driver capabilities now

I this as an audiobook but there is so much going on and I am very visual and kinesthetic learner so I have since switched to the Kindle format. I think that will help. SPOILER: I like that she has 2 gods whispering to her. That makes her more interesting especially since she is pretending that no gods whisper to her. I like the idea that gods syphon energy through them as a conduit rather than born with powers.

How is there literally no substance to this story? “He has demons he can’t talk about, but so do IIIIIII” 🙄 ew. And they literally just kiss the whole time! I want a STORY. And if she calls a butt cheek an “orb” one more time, I am throwing if my kindle.

Matthew's adventures are super interesting to me. However, I struggle to connect with some of them because the ease in which he was able to find access and liberation is not relatable for everyone. He is a white, male who can go do these things without fear whereas a woman or a person of color may not receive the same access nor accolades for similar experiences. His words are super inspiring either way.
