It's quite impossible for me to care less about this story.

At first I was unsure about this book, but now I'm pretty certain that I'm gonna be a hater here.

Mhh, I don't know. So far it's just a bunch of very random things thrown together. 15th century Italy and the Medici family, but also fae and witches and magical gemstones and a sculpting competition. Let's see what will come of it all.

I like it, but I'm afraid that it won't be a five star read like the previous two books.

Guess I'm on my way to yet another 5 star rating this month.

If anyone ever tells you that they guessed the plot of this book then they are lying.

First book I've ever read where a werewolf is actually, truly terrifying. What the hell was this slaughter?!

Now that I started it I must say that the cover fits the story so perfectly! Sonia is a scientific illustrator and the cover looks like such an illustration too and it's also depicting insects in different stadiums of life and a parasite. So well done!

Ahh, just a little 102 year time jump. I'm getting the feeling that the title is a lie.
