Now that I started it I must say that the cover fits the story so perfectly! Sonia is a scientific illustrator and the cover looks like such an illustration too and it's also depicting insects in different stadiums of life and a parasite. So well done!

I'm pretty sure 'stadium' was not the word I was looking for. Ignore that, my German brain tricked me...

no worries, you meant life stage. lol xD I am not sure if I should try it or not, mostly because I work with insects and I don't wanna have nightmares with bugs in it xD
@Sara Yeah, that's what I meant >.< Trying to use a fancy word and then it doesn't even mean the same thing in English. But anyway. So far there wasn't any horror, but I'm sure it will be connected to the bugs in some way. I will elaborate in my review and maybe then you will get a feeling if you will have nightmare from it or not :D
@Erin You know me. Dropping everything once a new T. Kingfisher arrives. But I also have some backlist titles left whenever I'm in the mood. I really like it so far, I hope you get the arc! You too, @Jasmine!

Also a touch of horror, such as in Richard swan books, is welcome. Wit is the most welcome, of course. I will wait for your review so that I can decide if I will request it 😊
I have just come out of Thalia with. 3 books by T Kingfisher: what moves the dead, the clockwork boys, and Hemlock and silver. I am very excited to read them.
@Sara I think "Wolf Worm" will fit your wishes of a bit gothic, a touch of horror and wit! And I hope you enjoy the books that you picked up. "What Moves the Dead" is more on the horror side with a great main character while "Hemlock & Silver" is fantasy, a Snow White retelling actually. But it's very different from the fairy tale. And I haven't actually read "Clockwork Boys", but I saw that it got a new edition this year. I'm scared of the momemt when I cleared her entire backlist. I only have a few books left. O_O Fortunately she puts books out frequently ^^
