(Paraphrasing this because I don't have the book in front of me right now.)

Gen: "I left my wife and father alone together in the garden. Guess we'll see which one comes out alive."

Eddis: "Gen, you didn't."

Gen: "Kidding. About one coming out alive, anyway. They might both kill each other."

Eddis: *facepalm*

Narrator: They did not actually kill each other.

I'm not very far in, but already Waruu's voice is so vivid and just grabs you immediately. I love him already!

"You'd think if he was going to be rude, he would at least do it in his own language."

"But if we couldn't understand him, how would we know we were being insulted?"

LOL

I just love how Gen is like, "I know a fellow liar when I see one. #respect." Even better is that he recognized it was coming from survival, not malice.

Going to see if (via audiobook narrated by Andy Serkis, because I just can't physically read that fast) I can get through the whole trilogy by the end of the month. On to The Two Towers!
