I was really “high” on no sleep for like 36 hours trying to decide what to read next so ignore the last 2 books that I marked “currently reading” and was all “I’M SO EXCITED 🤪” over. And also shut up (jk maybe).

Hoping to go three-for-three with Nat Cassidy. MARY is one of my favorite horror novels ever and NESTLINGS was such a fun ride. I’m ready for another banger!

Well, that’s most of the mystery… I’ll finish up once I wake up.

I feel a mystery phase beginning to brew… And I feel like this won’t be the last Janice Hallett book I read this year.

Need something easier and quicker to read, in a bit of a slump and I’m holing this’ll help me out of it.

The bestie’s reading this for school, so I thought I’d read it with her.

I shed a tear over “The End of the Whole Mess.” So sad. 😭😭 THAT was an A+ story, man! 5/5 stars.

On the other hand, “Dolan’s Cadillac” bored me to tears until the last 10 pages. At this point, though, King writing insanity is the same five traits and it’s just beginning to feel like a broken record. 2/5 stars.

I can tell this is going to be a super fun book.

Me and bestie’s next book club pick and also my introduction to an author I’ve been wanting to read for around two years now. This one’s supposed to be a massive love letter to horror movies so I’m all the more excited for it to be my first SGJ book.

Some short stories that I’ll be taking my time with for the rest of this month, and probably a good portion of October. It’s not my priority read, but I’d like to try and read a short story or two every day.

God, I love the town of Castle Rock. I just feel like I know everyone here. Well, knew… People really like dying in this town.

THE LIBRARY POLICEMAN - 4/5 stars.

Messed up in a not-so-good way, yet ironically still the best of the 3 novellas so far. This is basically like if the fear-based monster aspect of IT (awesome!) and the vampires of SALEM’S LOT (cool!) had a novella-length lovechild and liked little kids too much (not so awesome/cool!).

Definitely just finished one of the most fucked up chapters I’ve ever read in a Stephen King book. Jesus.

Time for another novella from this!! I’ve heard mixed things about THE LIBRARY POLICEMAN so we’ll see how this one goes.

Oh my god… I think I know who Babysitter is, and I’m honestly surprised I hadn’t suspected them… We shall see.
