Waiting for the excitement

ebook. not sure what to think just yet.

Aside from the stories being so interesting, I love trying to pick out those aspects of the stories that are indicative of the social/cultural norms for the late 1940s.

Just starting and must say that it is a beautiful, published book.

Okay, a bit bland but hoping the story picks up.

Such an interesting read that feels almost nonfiction in some ways with the recounting of the history of Cyprus but interspersed with commentary and information from the fig tree as well as the story of the two individuals who are the foundation of the story.

Advertised as a "cozy sci-fi" and with great reviews. All I can say is that during the first chapter I got really sick of the child bot's teenage whining. I attribute this to the reader's great job of narration. However, the storyline seems interesting so far.

Oh my goodness.

When a book becomes available from the library, I have to set aside other books. Such an unusual start and I love the narrator who speaks up every few segments and provides background.

What if you knew when you and your siblings will die? At first you and your siblings don't believe it but then your youngest brother dies. on the ay that was predicted. So now what? What does one do with that?

This is possibly the best book I've read this year. Maybe.

At first I was quite turned off by some of the more graphic sexual content but that turned out to be integral to one of the characters in the novel. I have to say, aside from that, it is a good book.

This is far more interesting and well-written than I expected. Audio

I'm caught by the story but find it a bit dense with descriptions that may not be necessary.
