Started a re-read

Started 10/19/2025 and almost done. Loving it. Totally different than what I expected. Took a lot of notes of things I liked to potential use as influences in my writings.

Started this in 7/19. Really good so far. Great read as I sit between the first and second drafts of my WIP.

Hilarious and gross

Started this last night. First story, "The Co-op," was creepy as FUCK! Can't wait to delve into the rest. Looking forward to the Poppy Z. Brite story!

Glad I finally got down to reading this! Excellent collection of American history if everyone devolved into cannibalism. Certainly a must-read for horror fans.

Been meaning to get to this since last year's StokerCon when Rebecca Rowland was kind enough to give me a copy.

Interesting and unique take on the vampire legends, and the abilities of necromancers. Definitely kept me guessing along the way, and offered new thoughts and takes on a genre/creature that has been written a million ways to Sunday.

Very trippy, very meta, and very good! Do not go into this book with expectations because you will be wrong. Certainly not what I was expecting, and Cat Ward kept me on my toes the entire ride. A definite recommendation.

This was amazing! I'm glad school forced me to finally get around to reading Le Fanu's Carmilla, so I could enjoy this mix of the infamous lesbian vampire meets Asian culture legends. The story was brilliant, and the art captivated me. The panels felt old when they needed to, and scary when they needed to. Loved this book.

Dry and bland. Maybe a valuable piece of advice here and there but would not recommend.

Started on 10/16 and reading for class

Starting this for my final writing workshop at Emerson College.

Phenomenal! That was a tour de force of a frightful and disturbing story. Highly recommended, and made me glad not to have any children.

Finally getting around to this before the sequel is published.

Holy fucking shit … Tuttle is brilliant, and the stories are disturbing to the point that you still feel them hours later. Holy fucking shit.

First heard it discussed at StokerCon. Can’t wait to be creeped out.

Deliciously fucked up (in a good way). Fantastic story of a sociopath working for Disney whose life gets upended. HIGHLY recommended and can this nominated for Stoker next year. Don't sleep on this book or this author.

Getting this signed at StokerCon was a huge win for me. Seeing CJ Leede at a panel was a plus.

Started the Stoker winner for Superior Achievement in a Novel. Looking forward to reading this finally.

Very good collection of some classic stories I've read, and some that were new to me. Totally recommended for anyone looking to get into classic haunted houses stories and hasn't read any of the older stuff yet.
