I listened to this, was a really fun story, great heroine and different

Why instead of interesting historical fiction does this feel more like melodramatic women’s romance? Because this could have been interesting except that the two protagonists did swooning type stuff. Stereotypical characters

Very much similar to A Man Called Ove, but not as good.

Repetitive at times, still very interesting look at history of women’s rights and mental health care.

I quit this book because it was not worth moving on

Liked this a lot. Lots of characters to root for, not predictable.

Interesting read for during COVID19 shelter in place. I liked the way it touched on so many issues we face now but still told an very engaging story. Enjoyed all the CO references because I used to live there.
