Because I hate DNFing, I feel like the book is mocking me in challenge and I need to finish it to justify hating it so much. Trying to finish all my books in progress— prepare for more rantings.

I could not care less about a single character in the fuckin book.

I find it painfully lazy when authors repeatedly use “hot” as a descriptor for character’s appearance.

Is this seriously the best she can do? Kylie can’t write a better mourning scene than this??? Jesus.

This is their like 7th interaction and 3rd time talking about fucking… bruh, they’re both 16. This feels creepy and weird.

Kylie’s writing is so… less than mediocre. At 33 pages we are touching and crushing? Seriously? Im bored.

After reading the interview scene and going straight into the OR (for work)… I am mildly nauseous. I’m impressed. It takes a lot to hit me like that.

I love Rocky. With all my heart. This is an absolutely adorable book while also highly scientific and beautiful.

If you like science at all, this is a great book for you

Bruh.. I don't know if I even like this book. I don't think I do. I believe that I am mesmerized by the gruesome imagery Keri Lake is able to manifest, but the story is a little bleh, and the romanticism of self-inflicted harm is just a no from me. I'm this far in, and I feel like nothing has actually happened? They're still in the mortal realm. They still haven't even started their search to find vivicantum. Wtf.

I really liked book one, but this just feels like it's kinda.. "meh." I wanted her to stop being stupid, but I know that was a lot to ask. I feel like this is just a bit too YA for me right now.

KEEVA IS SO EASY TO MANIPULATE and she’s dumb as hell!! She just gave her sister all the answers. She’s so awful.

The only person who wants this is your sister, Zuleeka! Not you, not your brother. This is just stupid at this point. Why are you going to try to ruin what appears to be a loving family, just because your sister is bitter?!

No, actually. You don’t have to seek vengeance. You’re perfectly fine to make your own choices especially when the cost of vengeance is everything.

Dude... I fell for the cover. I hate the writing, it's super high school vibes. It's giving "The Fault in Our Stars" meets trashy high school drama meets twilight.

Things are attempting to be wrapped up with a pretty bow, but there’s too many pages left… and another book. Olivia, IM SCARED!
