I have so many things to say about this book but I never want to forget the “choose your own adventure” chapter. The cycle, it feels never ending. She captured it perfectly within these pages, especially those. Breathtaking.

Okay much better now. I enjoyed reading about the island hopping. It’s strange through to have the book switch so fast from Commander Violet leading her team back to… battle brief and physics class? I wish she wasn’t in school. It’s a stark difference in tone

Bust so far. I was not interested in continuing this series after the IF ending, but was curious to see where she would take the plot from here. Especially interested in the addition of the Venin characters. So far it’s very predictable and the dialogue is just so much worse. Aetos is written just as Varrish began in IF. I’d love for the plot to pick up.

Enjoying this one so far-barely scratched the surface. Violet is obsessed with truth & lies and I only see that getting more attention. Colonel Aetos reminds me of President Snow with his threat on Mira & Violet. Very curious to see how we continue at Basgiath while I assume making stops at Aretia.
