أي الطرق أكثرها خطرا؟ ذلك هو الطريق الذي أريده. أين هي الهاوية؟ تلك هي التي أتوجه إليها. أي المتع أكثرها شجاعة؟ إنها تحمل المسؤولية الكاملة.

اﻷرقام الزوجية تجري معاكسة لقلبي. لا شأن لي بها. وحياتها مرتبة بشكل مريح جدا. إنها تقف على أقدامها بثبات كبير. وليس لديها أية رغبة في تغيير مكانها. قانعة ومحافظة ومستقرة. لقد حلت كل مشكلة وحولت كل رغبة إلى واقع وهدأت. والرقم الفردي هو الذي يتلاءم مع ايقاع قلبي. فحياة الرقم الفردي ليست مرتبة بشكل مريح أبدا. والرقم الفردي لا يحب العالم بالشكل الذي يراه عليه. بل يرغب في تغييره والاضافة إليه ودفعه إلى اﻷمام. يقف على قدم

وهو واقف بهدوء، دون حراك على العتبة، دون أن يلعن أو يتوسل أو يبكي. بلا حراك كان يقف واقفا يرقب الخراب. ووحده بين الجيران كلهم "ظل محافظا على كرامته البشرية".
