I’m seeing my holiday stress level directly correlates to the number of DM books I go through. Sigh. Too bad AI will (if it already hasn’t) replace Christmas letter writing.

Drag Queen cozy murder mystery! First chapter, and I love it so far!

Duh. Of course I realized what it is… asking Mcreary (sp?) repeatedly “why didn’t you ____(whatever preventative action)____?” Bc the abuserrrrrrrrr is in a position of authority/power/respect/expertise whatever.

I’m sure stuff has been updated for the 2021 edition… but eh… something about that Default to Truth chapter hasn’t aged well… i can’t put my finger on it… but I don’t believe it’s as common as Gladwell presents (that folks immediately believe the abuser)… idk… maybe whistleblower attitudes are changing (ao mid 2025)

I’m only 25 minutes in to the audio, and I’m absolutely freaking the f@ck out. EVERYONE should listen to this one.

This series keeps getting better. So many great gardening tips too.

You know… I think I heard a few dog-whistles in here (har har no pun intended), and I remember I paused only for moment during book 1, when I questioned what the MC meant… now hearing more than a few clues… I’m starting to really dislike the MC. :( Also, she should’ve dumped Luke first but whatever. If she goes back to him I’ll be pissed. Ugh. Again, not blatant enough, but I’m questioning it…

MURDER PIES!!!

Not your average “deal with the devil” story. Only 10% in. Is this the best book I’ve ever read? Wow! And the quality of the audio and the narration from Libby is absolutely incredible.

This book is a masterpiece of “Show, don’t tell” - only a third through the audible narrated by the Author (Jannette McCurdy) and already - my heart is COMPLETELY broken. A slow few pebbles will become an avalanche. I am only glad Jannette is writing (hopefully more).

Is Joanne Fluke the George RR Martin of cozies? She has me in a chokehold and NO character is sacred or off limits - everyone can be a victim or suspect! This one is WILD.

Absolutely hooked right off the bat - and yes, fans of the Ghost and Mrs. Muir will love this one.

I only raised my eyebrows when the MC requested drinking Bushmills whiskey in South Ireland. Whoa.
