You know… I think I heard a few dog-whistles in here (har har no pun intended), and I remember I paused only for moment during book 1, when I questioned what the MC meant… now hearing more than a few clues… I’m starting to really dislike the MC. :( Also, she should’ve dumped Luke first but whatever.
