I don't like it as much as his other books. He's telling the information about characters and events in Norse mythology, but not in the way he tells a tale that he's created. Kind of like picking up a local folklore collection, its more like hearing someone recollect a partial dream than reading a fully fleshed out tale. Note, he's one of my favorite authors.

I had really been enjoying this book. I had to pause when books in a series I've been reading became available to me, but am happy to be getting back to it!

You'll like the characters and what I've read so far has been very innovative and fun to read.

This was my book to read while standing in line or stuck in traffic until 12-13-19 when it graduated to be the book I'm reading in earnest. I really love The Princess's vocabulary and will probably reread the part I started to capture the feel again. I've been looking forward to this while I slogged through "an award winner".

You'd think I'd have more time to read in the summer, but I actually have so much less! I am enjoying this book.

Not much time to read right now, but the book is good.

I read half of this while I was away since it was a tiny paperback. Now it will be a "read while I'm waiting book" so it may be on this shelf for a while. I don't shop or sit in traffic very often.

I barely started this, but had to set it aside to read travel books and will read paperback giveaways while away. I'll look forward to returning to it when I am back.

I'm not a quitter, but I'm struggling here and it's my fault..I haven't read his other books and don't know the history of the characters, so I'm missing anything that's alluded to and the long, difficult to pronounce names are killing me.

Often you can pick up a new book from a series and glean enough information to make it work. There are parts I enjoy reading, but I know I'm missing a lot and confused.
