I love Penny Reid and pretty much anything she writes, but she seems to always have these FMCs that are willfully oblivious to the MMC being in love with them

She’s setting all the rules, but then she’s bitter about them. 🫤

So yes I am intrigued by these characters… but I totally don’t understand why it had to be Sam from the first series. Her personality and everything about her are different.

Wait, since when is Sam a scientist? She was going to go to law school in the first series

I don’t think I like this narrator. She’s a little too good at doing the spoiled bitch voice and it’s making it hard to like her or feel any sympathy towards her.

I didn’t even know this book started with an event like the Met Gala when I decided to read it today. I’ve had the audiobook for weeks. Strange coincidence

I’ve definitely read many of the books in this series, but for some reason I didn’t rate/review. I’m not sure why, and I’m kind of annoyed because I can’t remember them. Sometimes I have to go back and read my own damn reviews to refresh my memory. 🫤

So far this story is weirdly compelling for someone like me who has absolutely zero interest in business and corporate shit. However I am feeling NO CHEMISTRY between Cassie and Marcus. NO SEXUAL TENSION. Where is it? What is happening?

I just started this and on page 4 is a sentence with “your” when it should be “you’re.” 😒 Should I bother continuing?

Emily is growing on me. Her grumpiness is starting to be funny

Why did LH Cosway have to name the evil sorcerer Theodore. Am I the only one who immediately thinks of the pudgy Chipmunk Theodore
