I read book one as an arc and found it intriguing. A changeling queen in this book - will she find something good or only tricks from the courts

I'm 3 stories in. I liked the 2nd story the best so far the 1st story seems like a cut scene that could be in a different book

This is my summer reading week 4-5? Book. I think L.J.Andrews has a good knack for making me nervous. The whole time I'm second guessing what's going on and when the betrayal will happen.

Ok...is Aiz's story in the past?

I won't lie my child has already read all the spoilers lol.... otherwise so much re explaining new things about the world and recap so far.

I obviously don't read descriptions.... but this is the same universe as Ember of Ashes.

In reading this to get a preview of what to expect from his longer work. Looking at reviews it's really a mixed bag but I'll give it a go to see what the world building looks like

I've been struggling with this one which is disappointing because I loved book one. Maybe because the romantic and friend interests are separated?

Already love this book but starting the audiobook this time!

The FMC is a bad ass but she has no confidence in herself. She comes across as naive or dull witted sometimes..she starts out ready to die blaming herself but latches into an unlikely hope. Then we see her brilliance shine from time to time. We see her OCD and her fears but we also see the death made prince challenge her and her beliefs about what is true about herself. So promising.

This book is so ridiculous but cute-osh so I'll play along for now and see how it goes

Book IV
I couldn't remember if I read this all or only in pieces. I'm a mythology sucker so can't go wrong with a reread. So far everything sounds familiar.

DIEM, girl, you are all over the place.

Pretty sure I've read at least one version of this before but currently listening on Libravox.

This book opens up the POVs to include all our main characters. Switching characters each chapter the world becomes fuller with internal motivations and world happenings.

I forgot how much I love this world.

I'm not crying. I barely knew the character but still.

It's definitely interesting. Evolution. Destruction. Migration. What can spiders become. Are we doomed to repeat our mistakes as a civilization? Things like that.

I can already tell this book is going to be an emotional trauma full ride.

Ok all the time it took to get to know people last book is in the rubbish bin. Odessa is on her own traveling towards a place she's from but that isn't home. And there are a lot of magic/mythology things happening.
A new character is also being followed we will see how it progresses.....

There are some really wild things going on. But I like the discussions where neither side is agreeing with the other but both are trying to make sense of the world they are in.

I feel like there's a deeper meaning here: a girl that only knows how to drown and not live.

Wizard of Oz setting/ characters. Lots of thought about where a woman belongs or what she should want.

There are a couple of questions I have about the world but I'm definitely interested

If you ignore all the emotional constipation of the elves in this series this book is the best so far.

Ok I'm liking this portion better but some of the things this woman says and does I just want to smack her.

Ok the background is laid nicely every now and then the narration jumps back with the alternate pov . Usually just picking up where at. I'm expecting something big to happen now. There has to be a call back to the 3 women with powers to take down bad men from the beginning so maybe the sisters are not dead.

Very Hallmark second chance love but honestly I don't love it..
