I dont know how I feel about this book yet. It's fast paced, fair enough, but there's something just not quite there for me and I'm not sure what it is, because I love big blue aliens as much as the next gal

Still trying to get through this one. Tense is present. Prose is very unpolished/high school feeling.
I am very confused why the FMC is just immediately jumping at the prospect of living on an island with 2 strangers. Just because these two strangers killed the men who were going to kidnap you doesn't mean they're not going to do the exact same thing. It's really doing my head in.

Loving this book and am already keen to move on to book 3. The series has only covered a few days into the fallout but it's done very well and doesn't feel like it's dragging along. Very happy.

I'm not sure if i'm going to finish this or not. The writing style is young/unpolished feeling. I believe this story was written early in the author's life (teenager?) and they rewrote it later but it's not vibing with me. I'll give it a little longer before I decide.

The narrator is unfortunately tiresome to listen to. Not a great storytelling etiquette. The story is written in the present tense which I always find jarring, and the prose style feels younger/underdeveloped than what I prefer to listen to.

Storyline so far is interesting and I'll stick around to see what becomes of this zombie-escapade
