i’m rereading this. i don’t want anyone to talk to me about how many books i have started rn. but im rereading this in preparation for the second book and im upping my star count because it’s one of the only books in recent memory that im really excited about

listening to the audio book is alarming similar to the movie, like you don’t even need to watch the movie after reading this

very interesting premises! people use stones that help their emotions in daily life, example is a police officer with a fear using a stone to be confident

i don’t know how i found this book but apparently i placed it on hold at the library so im reading it… good news is it’s great so far !

36 done this massive book and feels like almost nothing has happened. in audio book world that SEVEN HOURS

this had no wait at the library so i decided to give it a chance, fell asleep listening to it and woke up to the most diabolical smut scene. very graphic- too much to be the first thing i hear when i wake up

this i feel is a modern gothic text done right. it is dreamy and eerie and sensual.

i’m listening to this in the car with mike so might uh take awhile to finish

i like sad mothers in books 👍🏻

started this for my hair appointment. did not expect it to be pretty goodddd.

after blood meridian i was really scared this would be similar but i thankfully it’s its own story

this book might be the catalyst for all the people that think it’s the end of the world due to lower birth rates

hehe finally got it back after being on hold, i love listening to the audio version of these! they are so passionate

if i was 12 i would eat this up

to my dismay, this is such a plot center story we in fact never to do get proper details about this world. reading is like watching a play with no set.

so far i’m not like SUPER into it. this book lacks a lot descriptions/details which does not bode well with my imagination. the story is interesting so far… but generic? i have pretty high expectations for this book so im hoping something changes soon!
