The pauses between flashbacks are getting annoying. Starting to wish each memory would just be told completely and then we see how the guys are doing in the present. Because half the time all we read between memories is filler.

Like idk that might be something to talk about if ya'll ever want to make things work again. But then again his wife has been described (through actions) as prissy, high-maintenance, and lacking in empathy, so maybe it is something she'd do.

Not far in and already the frequent jabs at women are rampant for no reason. And also I find it hard to believe a grown woman would fake enjoying sex if her traumatized husband (who was previously gentle) violently fucked her like described.

Considering that this is just one book split into 5 parts, it's really annoying having to have things explained again from the previous books at the beginning of each. I don't know if these were actually spaced out in when they came out (because I have the bundle) but it's dumb. Especially when each book stops on a cliffhanger so I have to wade through pages of shit to get back to where it left off.
