Web of Spider-Man #6 First story
Barely read this. I learned Psycho-Man wanted the Uni Power. That's why he wanted Spidey and trapped other aliens too.

The other aliens are who help Peter get back home. After Psycho-Man was bathed in shrink rays of course.

Second story
On a girls day out, May helps Punisher deal with some terrorists.

Didn’t read 3rd or 4th stories.

SSM Annual #10 Second story.
Hobie Brown gets a lesson in humility and respect, thanks to his brother and… the Silver Sable!

Third story.
Flint gives some good advice to housemate Carlos and decides to follow it himself.

He confronts Wizard and Trapster and pretty easily beats them.

Too bad, Carlos followed Flint’s advice too late…

I didn’t read the fourth story.

SSM Annual #10 First story-
MJ, having just learned that her husband is little bigger than an ant, is in no mood for his jokes.

Harry Osbourne attempts to help but it ends up causing Pete’s shrinking to accelerate.

Eventually, Spidey finds himself in the Microverse and in front of Psycho-Man.

I’m fast losing interest in this story.

Annual #24 Third story.
All about Sandman aka ‘Flint’ Marko’ wanting to turn over a new leaf.

Then the Wizard and Trapster break out of prison and wish to restart the Frightful Four…

I skipped the apartment tour.

Fourth story.
Scott Lang dreams of a war between ants and the antagonist Scarlet Beetle vying for his helmet.

The slash in his uniform suggests it wasn’t a dream at all!

ASM Annual #24 First story-
To call this a team-up is an exaggeration.

By happenstance Peter inhales some of Ant-Man’s shrinking fumes.

Then when some thieving goons are dealt with, the enlarging fumes do not work.

I didn’t read the second story.

I didn't read the pages from the Marvel Guides. But I did have a look at the art.

I really like the Marvel Fanfare #38 pinup as it shows a softer side to Black Bolt and Medusa.

And I like Marvel Fanfare #45 for the opposite reason. They are sombre figures on a simple background. It's lovely.

Inhumans Special #1 -
Black Bolt remembers things he didn't even experience!!

Anyway, this is a look through the Inhumans history from before their first appearances in the Fantastic Four comics and a little after.

I liked how this gave the Inhumans side of when the barrier went up. We hadn't gotten that before.

Moral of the story; the Royal Family can endure anything when they're together.

In typical ‘me’ fashion, I did not realise I had this GN (a physical copy too!) until after I read this *face palm*

Anyway, my review for Marvel Graphic Novel #39 ‘The Inhumans’ is here.

An interview with Jim Lee and a (actually helpful) score card, telling us where the X-Men are currently.

Plus lots of sketches and various art by Jim Lee.

Some of them were TPB covers, updating the original art and they look quite 90s! I liked them.

Issue #267 -
There’s those playing cards! Also Gambit’s energy is now white, not green.

Anyway, after escaping the Hounds, Gambit takes Storm to New Orleans where she feels at home…

Then after the duo’s ‘Robin Hood’ escapades, Nanny finds them!

But that only helps Storm to truly remember her past.

Once the ship is sunk into the river, the young mutant asks if Gambit’s ever heard of the X-Men…

Issue #266 -
Storm holds up well against the Hounds and Shadow King’s mental onslaught.
She is still only a child tho and requires a little help from… Gambit!!

Who speaks and dresses like how you imagine him to. But his energy is green NOT purple *shocked face*
And he doesn’t have his playing cards!

Anyway, Gambit saves Storm, then she helps him get away from the Shadow King.

Mystique knew Val would come…

Issue #265 -
The young Storm is falling back on old habits, stealing. Not in Egypt, but in Cairo, Illinois!

She has no control of her powers and wakes from nightmares of people who are after her.
We know they are Nanny and the Shadow King!

The ‘King’ already has Lian and Val under his influence and wants V to kill Mystique…

The end sees Storm caught in a trap!

Read even less of 263.

I saw that Peter (Colossus) was mixed up in the drama.

Then by the end of the issue, Forge had returned Jean and Sean back to normal and they were discussing Peter’s body’s instant reaction even though he has no memory of his past or the X-Men.

I skipped #264.

I didn’t really read #262.
So. Many. Words!

Anyway, I did read that Jean’s known Moira for just as long as she’s known Xavier.

And Sean can’t handle seeing Jean in the new X-Men uniform… Which I found gross and disrespectful to Moira but anyway.

That last page made me agree with Jean’s negative opinion of the costumes…

Ugh series that were released more than once a month is the bane of my existence atm.

Issue #261 -
Skimmed some of this.

Sure, Logan is smart but I don’t really associate him as someone who tests his companions to see if they can work together.

Forge and Sean know Moira is not who she once was…

Sean wants Forge to create something that can detect the X-Men who are still missing.

I liked the bit about the ‘Wolverine Rescue Squad’.

Skipped issues #259 and 260.

Skipped issue #92.

New Mutants #91 -
Sometimes these characters say things I’m sure is more for the reader than anything else.

Like, how the teens and Cable talked about how they could definitely take those Morlock bruisers but they were only down there for Ric.

Anyway, Caliban ends his fight with Sabretooth by breaking his back (and killing him?)

Later, Ric realises that even tho he doesn’t like Cabe, he respects him.

New Mutants #90 -
How many times has Sabretooth come back from death?

As Sabretooth hunts the remaining Morlocks, Caliban hunts him.

I’ve felt like everything has been going in slow motion.

I like that the teens have a teacher-figure in their life now tho.

Ric gets frustrated and upset and decides to enter the tunnels alone. Cable learns of this and gets the NMs to gear up for the unknown dangers.

New Mutants #89 -
Everyone knows Cable apparently!

Anyway, Cable doesn’t end up reaching the X-Factor… but the New Mutants instead.
Who help the old man against Blob and Pyro.

Later, Moira is delayed from taking Rahne just long enough for Cable to convince her that it’s ok for Rahne to stay.

Drama in the fact that Cable doesn’t remember Ric but he sure knows the cyborg!

New Mutants #88 -
Just like the X-Men comics, this series isn’t really about the New Mutants anymore.

Cable was helped/captured by the Freedom Force who insist the young Rusty and Skids are working with the Mutant Liberation Force.

While the young teens reunite with their X-Factor mentors, Cable is escaping his prison.

Apparently, he’s a ‘legend’ and didn’t start his beef with the government…

New Mutants #87 -
Finally the teens return home from Asgard!

Though, this issue really wasn’t about their rough journey home, it was about the Mutant Liberation Front… and Cable is hunting them.

You get a sense of how this team works and a glimpse at their leader, Stryfe.

Interesting to have Cable’s first conflict be a failure…

It does make him admit that he needs help!


I skipped Annual #5.

I get why they included New Mutants #86 but it’s the second part of a two-part story, so why did they not include #85??

it separately (of course).

Avengers West Coast #62 -
Firstly, how’d everyone know U.S.Agent is John? Isn’t that meant to be a secret?

Anyway, I really didn’t like the end of this story line.
I know the writers were wrapping up a story line Byrne started but it fell so flat.

Plus the wordiness of the last few issues and the unnecessary exposition… It was all so boring!

At least Wanda is back to normal again…

Avengers West Coast #61 -
Immortus, to stop them from interfering, teleports the heroes to Limbo and pits them against the Legion of the Unliving.

Funny how Pietro didn’t have any foes so they created one for this issue.

Anyway, Agatha was left back on Earth and through a few spells, confirms what the ‘Time Masters’ plan is! (That isn’t stated for the reader).

We do learn Wanda is a Nexus being…

Avengers West Coast #60 -
This was coming off of a story from an issue I didn’t read.

Anyway, the most important bits are that Magneto tricks Pietro to reveal he was never really on his side and some great power freezes Wanda in place in the middle of the conflict.

Of course, Magneto successfully flees from the heroes and Immortus finally reveals himself!

The mini Lockjaw was cute.

Avengers West Coast #57 -
Quicksilver stops Wanda from harming any of the heroes before Magneto jets them to his asteroid base.

The Avengers follow them, of course. And to little success.

Wasp is spotted and the rest of the team barrel in with no real game plan.

Using their own Quinjet as a prison, Magneto shoots the team back to Earth.

Interestingly, this CE doesn’t have issues #58-59.

A short story about Cap America and Human Torch’s reunion.

It wasn’t funny in universe but CA mentioned how irresponsible it is they had kid side-kicks.

This is the second time I’ve read a Marvel comic making fun of that classic comic book trope.

Avengers West Coast #56 -
A lot of talking! It makes sense, this has just come off of two separate events.

Wanda explains her newly gained powers (she’s now able to alter reality) before torturing poor Simon.

Then Hank learns Tigra escaped before getting a visitor who tells him the situation with his former(?) teammate.

Magneto and Wanda are reunited with Quicksilver!

Oh and the team is getting evicted??

Amazing Spider-Man #333 -
Interesting that they made Eddie have a sort of sense of honour in this.

Anyway, MJ refuses to go to Aruba and Stone tells Ceaser how Styx got his devastating power.

Then a fight between SM and Venom is interrupted by the duo.
Where eventually the killer touch is laid on the symbiote!

This isn't the first time the symbiote was thought to be dead...
