So far I'm only a quarter way in but it's exponentially better than the first one. I hated how the enemy to lover trope and the first one was over within a few pages. They did not expound on the personalities that they had built. But in this one the enemy to lovers is continuing on which I appreciate. There's also some very humorous parts with one resulting from a classroom prank I was roaring with laughter.

I was expecting a gay vampire romance because of YouTube. This is not that. The author has me emotionally attached to the characters then around chap 13, my soul is ripped out of my chest. Shooketh. Best thing I've read in a long time and I read quite alot. I'm mad about the lack of gay vampire sex though lol. Right now it's more of a psychological thriller/horror. So good.

I'm sure that lovers of romance probably loved it. Obviously they loved it or it wouldn't have been made into a series. Apparently it's just not my thing but so when gifted me the entire set so I have to complete them.

I'm on book four and I ran out of money lol. To be honest, it doesn't move me quite as much as grandmaster of demonic cultivation. However, there's far more humor in this one and I find myself laughing out loud a lot. I look forward to saving up enough money for book five.
