This is a fun audiobook. It vibes similar to Listen for the Lie. It’s a podcast crime novel, and we move from present time to the past between two sisters. One went missing the late 90s, and her little sister, now 30, is trying to solve the disappearance.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this audiobook, it has me laughing out loud while at work and in the car. If you enjoy the chaos of young kids and their incessant questions, paired with a single uncle who's never spent time with kids, then I highly recommend it!

I've enjoyed the magic system in this story and the world building, and really was into it at first, however it's heavy on the exposition. It's large chunks of explaining with a little bit of action. While I'm nearing the finish of this book, it feels like the author feels I'm still a newbie in the world and need everything explained outside of the story with the character telling me info.

This is like “The Proposal” meets cute Indian lawyer with lots of delicious Indian food mentioned. It’s an enjoyable holiday read.

I’m enjoying this immensely so far.
