The way this book is going. I’m sat for it. She’s so nasty and the hostile situation means they’re nasty right back and I’m here for all of it. It’s not a romantic/tension situation. This is more like she’s not happy & is reacting how she’s been taught to and they’re reacting based on her.

I’m already hooked.

Okay, so not only am I in the thick of answers but things are going downnnn. I’m so awed by how brilliant Whitten is. I remember why I loved the Foxglove King so much. I won’t finish tonight but I plan to be done tomorrow!

I love this magic system and world building. Why choose, deadly secrets, dark magic, moral ambiguity. I mean the fact that she is death and so incredibly powerful is everything to me.

Guys! The tension between them is everything! It’s so well-written. I love that it’s consistently punk-emo. I grew up around that so it truly never goes away and I feel that in this novel! I also really freaking love them together lol If you’re looking for a light, easy romance, this is the one!

I’m really liking this story. It’s not too cheesy, but has me squealing like a school girl. It gave context and answers sooner rather than just adding filler and getting answers at the end. The relationship evolving is fun because it’s a rekindling. I like that the interview is included.

I really like this book! I made it to ch.3 and I like that she’s a consistent punk girlie who wears band t-shirts. I am laughing a lot and relate to what the character goes through. I mean ever met someone for the first time and stumbled over words? I have lolol I’m hooked with this love story!

I was riveted to my chair with this book! I don’t know why shit is hitting the fan but I’m here for finding out 🫡😅🤯

I’m reminded instantly why I loved the first book!

I am not one usually to pick this type to read. I’m hoping as I read it, it picks up a little bit better.

The way I am glued to this story! Gives dystopian forced choices mixed with calculated control of everything & controlled rebellion. Everything has to be maintained because one man is too dangerous. Even emotions have to be controlled. If you’re looking for a cozy book, this is not it.

The way I’m devouring this book! Forbidden love? Tension & yearning? Protective? Baddie FMC who can take care of herself & rebels against the religious systems in place? St. Clair does a great job at world building! MMC? No notes lmao yes to it all! Found family?? I cannot wait to keep reading!
