A little romantasy break for some contemporary romance is going well, im so invested so far i love them

Its not a bad book but its not hitting the spot rn so i'm going to have to hit pause of this while i find something that does🙏

For some reason this book is feeling like a struggle to get through right now and i think thats mostly down to the fact im not feeling Adam especially not after reading Destroy Me💔 I'll put this on hold for now but i will be back soon!!🙏

Throughout the first book i always held a sense of pity towards him despite not liking him and im glad to learn the pity was not misplaced. This novella twisted my heart in places i did not expect and i came out of this having done a full 180 on Warner. It was great to see the inner workings of his mind, see his real feelings and his true motives. He will truly have your heart in pain.

Absolutely love the setting of the world, dystopian is not my usual read but this series intrigued me. I was not disappointed in this regard. The only reason i have deemed this 3 stars is because i cannot agree with and enjoy Warner's behaviour and while i do suspect he has some deep trauma to get into his behaviour made me uncomfortable and caused a few eye rolls. Very interested to read more into this series.
