I inherited this book from a shelf of books given to me, and it is fate that I have found it. Sarah Caudwell is the author I have been looking for my whole life. What a trip.

I love the overall premise so far, but the main character's self-sabotage is really out of control. The first person narrative makes her struggle less relatable.

35% in and still no murder - very frustrating.

I like this series because it doesn't waste time. The murder happened here in the first chapter, so now we get an appropriate book length amount of time to solve it. My biggest pet peeve about cozy mysteries is when the murder happens halfway through the book. I hope Lucy Connelly keeps this up.

Loving this dynamic.

I love Ben, but this feels a little instalusty. I know she is a succubus but it is a little execessive.

This has the same cozy, self aware and fun feel of Legends and Lattes. I love it. Needed a book that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Slow burn given all the tension. I mentally appreciate the amount of consent and communication, but in some spots it is on the nose.

Tessa Bailey is like shitty ice cream. You.know there is so much better out there, you know this tastes bad and isn't good for you, but you eat it to satisfy a craving in the only thing.laying around your house.

Another cozy that waits more than halfway before giving us a murder. That trope is getting old. Also, I feel like Brooklyn has become, frankly, a wimp. She is heavily relying on Derek, inappropriately freaking out when nothing is really going on, and is it just me, or has the exclamation point been abused in this book? I normally love this series, but this one is getting on my nerves.

This is... very YA. However, fun so far.

I am about 30% in, and it is only now just becoming exciting enough to not want to put down. I am unsure if the format (regular book interspersed with "real time" letters) is really my style.

Really enjoying this and love the amount of research and science tied into the witchcraft. However, very British isles focused, so some information and tips are just not applicable for this US East coast witch.

Not sure if this was the right book as my first audiobook experience. The narrative jumps around a lot despite being chronological, and the narrator's voice is a little flat.

The first story was a whirlwind. Easily engrossed. Hope they are all this thrilling.

No idea how it took me so long to pick this up. This has been on my TBR forever. Flying through now.

I was immediately sucked in, but wish I'd had time to reread the first book.
