to keep it real i kinda can't be bothered with this at all and i will finish it but man i should've been 10 years old reading this

we are getting to the dire point that is the end of september and yet i have not read a tome to rebalance my humors this year. Something had to be done, and this rules. i've had a nightmare about it already

absolutely fucking rules. Wow!!!

simultaneously nothing but also so scary i have a feeling this book bit off more than it could chew but the mere presence of fellini is enough to frighten

why is everything prison in a way. there really are prisons everywhere for those with eyes to see

just when you think there can't be any more insufferable characters here comes some guy ....

sometimes i'll read a passage in here that's so excellent i feel like hans castorp (so moved that i develop a fever)

the whole scene with the xray photography...this book is so awesome should we throw a party should we call david cronenberg

packing two hundred cigars for a three week trip is legitimately crazy

started reading this on the plane to my cousin's wedding so this is my weekend read. whatever man this may as well happen

reading this on my break just screeched the phrase "ON SLACK?" in disbelief to my empty room. what are we doing

been annotating the fuck out of this but i keep having vietnam-style flashbacks to my undergrad thesis supervisor bc this came out the year i took my affect theory seminar with him

this book is overdue as hell at my library but i'm learning so much ...kind of crazy how literally everything ever is just affect theory

— “She begged me to cease punishing myself and to look for another lover. I think she was mistaken when she said I was torturing myself. I think that she interpreted me fragmentarily, which is worse than not to interpret at all.”

i think i am slightly too stupid for this but that's okay because it's all the more tremendous

god-shaped hole mentioned and yes in those exact words. man after my own heart!

he just whacked singapore a little bit and i stood up so fast i got dizzy. Life could be a dream

supposed to be on reading deprivation this week but unfortunately i have a job to do

started reading this on my way to the lady gaga concert which is crazy bc in 2019 i was writing 5000 words on flannery o'connor and listening to paparazzi on loop as my sanity frayed

should we throw a party should we call giorgio agamben

cronenberg mentioned ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

this book is so incredibly scary i feel like im defusing a bomb but it's going to go off in my face and kill me anyway

really good as expected but as always the eternal question is what the hell is wrong with english people
