In a very sick and perverse way I can very much relate to stopping talking because your voice does not matter

the story is picking up a bit, and the beginnings of a rupture between Agnes and Marozia are forming. I’m finding myself more entranced by literally everyone else’s POV except for those two. Every scene with them is claustrophobic and odd. Even Ninian is more exciting.

Clearly I am dead inside because it’s been 48 hours since my acquirement of this ARC and I’m just not feeling it. Agnes and her weird power is too similar to Roscille. Marozia and Agnes’s subtly incestuous relationship is offputting. Nothing is happening, and I don’t care. I just don’t care.

I honestly don’t know how I feel about this book. The reveal that just happened has me gobsmacked but even the experience of reading this is like art work - because we were in a characters POV and we had no idea who they were.

Oh my god she is a master at romance!!!! I was doubtful anything could top Elm and Ione but this is so so good
