lol. Busy summer- somehow I can’t find as much time to read. This one is a good one to jump back in. The writing is good and I’m liking the MMC. He’s kind of gray and willing to do anything to get her back. The FMC is also awesome. Great story so far. Totally recommend.

No question, the writing is good. Someone mentioned RL Smith vibes. I agree! The narrative gives the reader unexpected moments of humor and I liked the story, overall. The sister is kind of an evil b----. Regardless, I was kind of reading this and enjoying it, life got busy, and I've forgotten what it was about. Was going to DNF it but now that I'm thinking about it, might try to finish it.

Oh goodness. I barely remember the plot. On pause for now.

Yes. Good writing and I love how smitten he is with her but the plot has kind of stalled for me. What else is there? Letting her work in her family’s restaurant? Her getting pregnant? Ho hum….getting bored?🥱

"Your character is your destiny". That's the truth. Adam will always be selfish and see the world in shades of how it affects him. I don't think people like that change. It's ingrained. They don't care about others as much as they care about themselves. They put themselves above others, always. I can't stand people like that. AND they can't see it. Great writing. I haven't hated like that in a long time.

Still hating him....He just keeps proving over and over what a selfish loser he is.

This book is good. It has depth. I’m invested in Beth finding her way. The pain she feels is real and so is Adam’s. He’s so selfish. But that’s real too. He can’t think beyond his own needs to see how he’s affecting others. His daughter and MIL say to fight for Beth. I say leave her the hell alone. She doesn’t need a selfish prick in her life, taking up all the oxygen.

Adam is a POS. A selfish A-hole. The reviews say that some are sympathetic to him by the end of the book. I'm curious how the "secrets" he has are going to change my mind when I'm kind of hating him already. He's very ewww.

This one is OK. It has all the right components - gross on page cheating, stupid MMC, devastated but strong FMC who picks herself up and starts over. He does a 180 and now becomes a celibate respectable MC prez. I just don't feel it.... Where's the gut punch? The despair and the suffering by the idiot hero? Is it me? I'm desensitized by all the smut? I dunno...

OMG - she has superhero tendencies too. LOVING this.

Boom. Part II. OK - she's now back as her 17yo self. SO the fun begins. Very excited for her to get some payback. Who would have thought I had such strong sadistic tendencies? :D

I am immediately suspicious of Apple, the too helpful friend who says she's trying to help but seems to be making things worse.

It was a good story till 63%. Typical - wronged woman getting her life together after and meeting a new man and cute little girl but THEN it was like a flipped switch. TOO MUCH SEX. And detailed descriptions. It’s ruining the story for me.

5 yo kids make everything better in stories. I’m absolutely enjoying the humor. :D

I like how she’s immediately ON it. Trying to figure out who sent her husband the text. Even at her wedding.

There’s always something horrifying yet “can’t look away” with on page cheating scenes. This one was a pretty blatant disgusting one, NGL. I already hate them!

Haha. This book is so funny. I’m in public and laughed out loud during her drunken antics. The angst is real though. Harley is SO oblivious. 🙄

Sean is so decent and sweet. I admit I kind of like how awkward and prickly Ash is with her insecure thoughts on the inside and watching him handle her. Smoothing out their interactions. Really liking this!

Why is Diane her friend so extremely annoying? I hate when she’s in the scene.

Plus Megan- the oldest daughter. What a daddy’s girl. Total b—ch. she’s like poison and Phil the cheater is a control freak and hot head. Good for Lina to get away from him.

I hate how everyone is gaslighting her. Her mom saying it’s unnatural to be monogamous. Her friend Diane who knew but told her she was crazy when she suspected and now telling her to get over it. Phil- expecting her to just suck it up and move on. What an a-hole.
