Still kinda confused about this book - I’m following the patentable plot, but…is something else going on? I get the impression Pynchon researched the hell out Milwaukee during the Prohibition, and I’m definitely enjoying the heck out of the ride and the writing, but I’m still not quite sure of this is a pure stylistic romp, or a novel with something to say
