I just LOVE when a book hooks me with the prologue alone. This one did just that after luring me with that title.

Also, I hadn't realized this was an Australian book and listening to Barton Welch's accent was a very pleasant surprise

The Inner Circle continues to be one of my favorite things about this series 😍

I thought I would understand Feyre going back to sabotage the Spring Court better this time around... I don't. I still think this was way over the top

I guess getting to that want-to-smack-Alexis’s-characters-across-the-head-while-hugging-them-at-the-same-time state because you understand why they’re doing what they’re doing, but also know (and they kinda know too) that they shouldn’t be doing those things, even though they have good reason to feel the way they do... only for it to hurt them like hell anyway... is a rite of passage in most Alexis’s books.

There is a reason why I don't usually read Alexis's work one right after the other (except when part of a series). It is because I don't want to lose that feeling of wonder that I usually get when I pick up one of their books.

I'm still in the foreword and I have already smiled broadly, laughed out loud, gone awww, and teared up. In the FOREWORD!!!! I love this feeling so much. It's like coming home 🥹

I knew I had devoured these books at record speed the first time around, but damn, there are A LOT of things that I have 0 recollection of reading. Important things too.

Oh Azriel's voice in the Graphic Audio is PERFECT for him. Smooth as butter, soft, low and mysterious. Flawless!

And now that Feyre has finally met them, what is one of my favorite parts of this book starts. I love the Inner Circle so freaking much 😍

Guess I'm in a reread kind of vibe. I heard so many great things about this audio that I had to listen for myself. Loving it so far. The goofiness that I loved in the book is even more apparent on audio.

Let the prepping for ACOShhhh begin.

Doing an immersive reading with the Graphic Audio version this time. Not a fan of the edits that are made in the audio so far but enjoying being fully immersed in this universe again.

This book is such a great example of how wonderful it is to listen to people talk about something they're genuinely passionate about. I mean, I understand approximately 0.000135% of the maths and science, but Grace is so enthusiastic about it that it's an absolute delight to read.

Also, the lack of proper cussing (along with some of Grace's other teacher habits) is so fucking endearing and it always cracks me up.

I go brawling my eyes out one second and laughing my ass off the next. It can go from heartfelt and wholesome in an instant to absolutely insane and hilarious a few sentences after...

I was a sobbing mess listening to the one in chapter 62.

I might not have been listening to audiobooks for all that long, but I’m pretty sure Chapter 57 is the pinnacle of audiobook narration. (Can we even call it just narration anymore?)

Peak performance by Jeff Hays. Absolutely fucking brilliant.

My jaw was dragging farther across the floor than Dong Quixote’s spunky sock.

The continuous Ed Sheeran bashing in this book is sending me 🤣🤣🤣 (and I even kinda like Ed Sheeran)

The characters' development in this series is beautiful to watch. I love them more and more each page.
