God help me get through the last 60 pages. Or whatever universal force there is...

This may be the densest book i have ever read. And I did art at a postgraduate level. This makes post grad art theory feel like a lil golden book.

Somebody edited this? Surely not. This is nigh on unreadable. Probs not Helens best work and what is with the obsession with bulimia and calling people bulimics??? Jesuhs.

So far this is somehow worse than i thought it would be? Thank god i only paid a dollar but that was too much?

ive read this two or three times through now as I data mine it.

It started out wonderfully but has quickly gone downhill and become an ode to what is actually attractive.

It's actually painful to see Knapp politicises Eating Disorders. Perhaps this was more relevant in Second Wave feminist discourse, but not now. Further, so far - despite her reliance on anecdotes and 'interviews' she has little sociological grounding to back up her assertions. Never thought I'd see the day I was hungry to see someone reference a little foucault or something.
