So far, it has been quite good. It leans much towards police procedural/ business business bureaucracy than I expected. Considering the cover… The reasoning for it is pretty cool though and the general world building much more interesting than I expected. As I sorta just thought it would be window dressing, but the setting is very much important to the core of the novel from a plot perspective and thematically.

Part 3 has been utterly fantastic so far

I’ve been very slow with my reading of this book, I’m hoping to kick it up a notch tomorrow onwards and finish it within the week.

Shadows in Zamboula - It's was a decent Conan story for what it's worth. Though the racists connotations have aged very poorly. Where Conan is dropped into a mixed society with all sorts of ethincities, but only the black folks are considered slaves and later revealed are cannibals. With a pronouced white supremacist worldview. There is some very good moments, but sometimes it is immersion breaking.

1-3 more days of reading… man I’m excited to see how this concludes.

Since Saturday (section of the book) events are starting to ramp up, I think I will be reading this book onwards in a much faster pace!
