It's not bad, but I am sick of reading MCs like this 😒

Their interactions are only ever fueled by embarrassing undertones. A lot of the side drama comes from Olive doing embarrassing things. I swear it's annoying but it seems like every single author writes like this. Sigh

After 7 books, I can wholeheartedly promise you I do not care about the "ex did it" storyline. And boy, are we dragging the holy hell out of it.
This is starting to read like every other detective novel -

I could take a fmc being dumped, and having to start over. Omggggggg, but do every single living one of them have to pine, call first, start awkward conversations, and beg. Like smt

He's kind of annoying towards the end - like she expressed MULTIPLE TIMES IN MULTIPLE WAYS she was okay with waiting / his lack of belief in her words does not entitle him to make her out to be a liar.

reading a book where the main character feels so similar to you in thoughts and overall action is a bitter experience .. for me.
in the end you know it'll work out for them on ALL front not just the romance and you'll be stuck in your bitter life waiting to read the next fiction.

lolll I am enjoying this even a little more than I did Alexis' story.

This was good, and I can see why it can be an enjoyable read but this is not for me! The story was good, the characters were good, but idk. there was a disconnect this entire series. reading this felt like trudging through mud and I was never excited to pick it up. I had an audible credit and used it on this. I kinda want it back tbh.
