Morbid Swither is starting Attila
Haha! Attila is so much stranger/difficult than I had imagined it would be, though its reputation precedes it. 🤔

Basically, I’m without composure from by scathing reviews of children’s literature by adults who can’t even understand the books.

Morbid Swither is on page 22 of 233 of More Than Human
Though I have never been terribly interested in science fiction as a genre, I have admittedly stumbled across classics that transcend the typical embarrassments and disappointments I lathe upon the genre. I am making a concerted effort this year to read more sci-fI classics. I love the style of this novel, very much reminding me of David Malouf’s Remembering Babylon (which I loved!)

Halfway through volume one. My brain feels pillaged, but read onwards, I do. Sublime.

Y’all, I haven’t being feeling so well. Signs of life are infiltrating, so I’m not inspired, rather threatened, or—more even keel—unprepared. The weeds that suddenly look, the wasps dangling in the eaves, the ants mesmerizing in the cat’s bowl. The tangible heat throbbing in the panes. But I’m aching, and I’m tired. I’m weary and I’m squinting and I’m furrowed. And the sun doesn’t mind.

Morbid Swither is starting The Books of Jacob
So, this book has pages numbered in descending order so… That makes any progress marked in the conventional way impossible. This book is genius and awesome and revolutionary but still this isn’t easy reading. Lovin’ it though.

Morbid Swither is starting Mouth to Mouth: Poems by Twelve Contemporary Mexican Women (English, Spanish and Spanish Edition)
A recent obsession with Coral Bracho brought me to this anthology, but the 12 women, whose work has been translated and compiled here, are now all begging to be read. This book is a total gym.

Feeling a bit too unnerved by The White King at present. Putting on pause.
