I'm flying through this. I love the small town setting and the backstory about the mines. In that regard, it's similar to Where He Can't Find You by Darcy Coates, and I love that book

While I didn't vibe with Hell Followed with Us (and DNF'd it at 50%), I like this one so far. I am not gonna give up on this author yet

This is just okay so far. I thought it would be more plot-driven but not much has happened so far. Also why is Sel so rude to Bree?

I'm so glad I like this book. It was a bit difficult to keep track of all the characters initially, but now everything fell into place.

not really enjoying this. it's endless dialogue and almost no action

I thought this book had a sequel. The publisher split the novel into two tomes. I just finished the first tome and am immediately starting the second one.

This is lackluster but I will probably finish it

Once again, Im reading while having a fever bc what else am I gonna do

Everyone seems to love this book but to me something feels deeply off about it. Maybe Im not smart enough to understand the depth of this book and it's symbols/metaphors, but the way the author describes the friendship between the 2 young girls feels like mockery. The homoerotic undertones are so obviously made subtle and vague to the point of absurdity. Idk if im gonna finish this
